Many line lights on the market may look identical, but there's a significant difference in quality among them. So, how do we distinguish and avoid buying low-quality LED line lights?
First Tip: Check the Glue: The first type of line light turns severely yellow after one year due to the poor quality of the glue used. Many products on the market are sold under the guise of waterproof PU glue, but they offer poor waterproofing, are prone to yellowing and dimming, and their prices are significantly different from that of genuine waterproof PU glue – often more than double.
Second Tip: Check the Aluminum Material: Thin aluminum material is easily deformed. When choosing aluminum material for line lights, reputable manufacturers will first consider whether it has good thermal conductivity. Some might think that the thicker the aluminum, the better, but this isn't true. Just as with makeup foundation, thicker is not necessarily better. For aluminum material to resist deformation and conduct heat well, it must have an appropriate thickness. Too thick can be as problematic as too thin, which may lead to worse heat dissipation and easy deformation when installing. Therefore, cutting corners is unacceptable! There's also the consideration of cost-performance ratio. To achieve a high cost-performance ratio, manufacturers must control material quality rigorously.
Third Tip: Look at
LED Beads and Components: In the industry, there are only a few well-known packaging manufacturers, but can you tell if you’ve received the brand of chips they claim? Some unscrupulous line light manufacturers boast about how good their raw materials are while substituting cheap chips for those of reputed brands, yet the law of price always prevails. How could one possibly get good quality at a low price? It's self-deceptive for customers to willingly get fooled. Some domestic LED bead brands have undergone years of testing and improvement, offering very refined and stable performance. Depending on your project's budget, you can choose some of the better brands from within the country.
