LED wall washers play a very important role in outdoor illumination and decoration. They can be seen illuminating the facades of buildings throughout the city's nightscape. Many people want to know about the wiring methods of LED wall washers as these methods can impact both the installation process and the aesthetic appeal after installation outdoors. Let me inform you about the following:
Single-Side Wiring:
For high-voltage AC220V wall washers, wiring usually comes out from one side. For high-powered fixtures like 48W or 36W, there is typically a single three-core sheathed wire coming out, containing red and black power wires and a yellow ground wire.
Wiring from Both Sides:
This type is generally used with low-voltage DC24V fixtures, which have waterproof connectors on both sides. These low-voltage fixtures can be daisy-chained together. However, for wall washers with higher wattage, like 18W and 24W, after connecting to a national standard 1 square millimeter wire, they can chain up to 4 meters of electricity at a time. It is recommended that a 400W power supply can support 24W of wall washer for 12 meters and 18W of wall washer for 15-16 meters.
Middle Part Waterproof Connector:
This type can be either low-voltage or high-voltage, and these fixtures are often interconnected over distances of up to 20 meters, making the installation and wiring much simpler. However, it is advisable to opt for low-voltage options as they are generally more stable and safer.
These are the three main wiring methods for wall washers. We suggest that customers choose the wiring method based on the actual installation site and method to ensure the best rationality. This way, the installation does not affect the appearance, and the fixtures can also be spray-painted to match the color of the exterior walls, thus becoming less visible during the daytime.
