Installation Methods for LED Underwater Lights:


  1. Selection of Light Fixtures: Pay attention to the waterproof rating, power supply voltage, and power consumption of each light fixture.
  2. Calculation of Cable Gauge: LED underwater lights generally utilize low-voltage safety power supply, involving the issue of voltage drop due to low voltage and high current supply. Calculate the voltage drop at the end of each circuit in advance and leave sufficient redundancy.
  3. Placement of Isolation Transformers and Ground Fault Circuit Interrupters: These must be placed outside of Zone 2 to prevent electric shock accidents.
  4. Cable Length: Whether it's for surface-mounted (bracket-style underwater lights) or embedded underwater lights, reserve a cable length of 0.6-1 meter. This allows for the light to be lifted above the water surface for wiring replacement or waterproofing in case of future issues, without the need to drain the pool.
  5. Wiring and Waterproofing of Connections: This task can generally be handled by electricians experienced in waterproofing.


Precautions for Installing LED Underwater Lights:


  1. Power Supply: LED underwater lights should be powered by a direct current constant current source. Under constant current control, the forward voltage drop of LED wall washers floodlights, underwater lights, and ground lights decreases with an increase in LED chip temperature. This scenario has little impact on LED underwater lights. However, constant voltage driving can cause an increase in current with rising temperature, potentially burning out the LED underwater light in severe cases.
  2. Antistatic Measures: During the processing, production, and installation of LED underwater lights, antistatic measures should be implemented, such as grounding workstations, having workers wear antistatic clothing, rings, and gloves, etc. If possible, install an antistatic ion fan and ensure the air humidity is around 65% to prevent static electricity from dry air. Additionally, the antistatic ability of LED underwater lights varies by quality grade, with higher quality LEDs having stronger antistatic capabilities.
  3. Sealing: Attention should be paid to the sealing of LED underwater lights. Poor handling of sealing issues directly affects the lifespan of the product.
