What Are the Reasons for an LED Wall Washer Not Lighting Up?

The reasons for an LED wall washer not lighting up generally fall into two categories: one possibility is that excessive leakage current has caused the failure of the PN junction, rendering the LED wall washer non-illuminating. This usually doesn't affect the operation of other LED wall washers; the other possibility is that the internal connection leads of the LED wall washer are broken, resulting in no current through the LED and thus a dead light.

During the manufacturing of LED wall washers, attention should be paid to the light effect. Non-linear light effect processing ensures that the light effect is clear and the patterns are vivid during use, while the light color is rich and natural, providing an exceptionally comfortable visual experience. After repairs, the insulating fish paper commonly used by electricians is inserted into the metal screw-in base of the light head, and the circular fish paper is used to isolate the LED light-emitting component from the electronic elements. But how can one identify which light-emitting component is faulty? A mechanical multimeter in resistance mode can be used to find the fault.

Firstly, looking at the product's functional effect, we find that such lighting fixtures can adapt to many situations, exhibiting considerable versatility. Many shopping malls are beginning to choose such products, giving people a stunning visual effect with the rich diversity of colors, producing a beautiful and natural light that can even display vivid dynamic images with a visually comfortable overall feeling.

To test with a multimeter, the red and black probes are placed on either end of the LED component. Tests can be carried out alternately and interchangeably with the red and black probes until a luminous point is found to emit light. After measuring each luminous point in all the light-emitting components, sketch out each set of components with their three luminous points, noting the ones that do not illuminate for reference and removal.

To repair an LED wall washer, use a flathead screwdriver to carefully pry open along the joint between the LED bulb's metal screw base and the main plastic body, making sure to keep it intact for subsequent restoration. Once opened, first inspect all the electronic components in the transformation part; if there are no issues, power it up to check the output voltage. For a 2W LED bulb light, if the multimeter measures an output direct voltage of 105.5V, it indicates that the fault lies in the LED light-emitting component section.
